Staff

The Honey Pot Nursery is registered to take up to 36 children, with no more than 14 being under the age of two years.

We employ a full time teacher with a great amount of experience in childcare, while the majority of our staff are trained to NVQ Level 3 in childcare or equivalent. Other nursery staff members are undertaking childcare training at this level. Our friendly and professional team is committed to continuous professional development, to ensure the best childcare and development is provided for your child.

The nursery runs a key worker system, which means that each member of staff has a small group of children for whom they are particularly responsible. Your child’s key worker will be the person who works with you to ensure that the childcare service the nursery provides is right for your child’s particular needs, interests and development.

The nursery is also adapted for children with special needs and disabilities, and we have staff trained to meet the needs of these children.

Policies

Copies of our nursery policies are available to view inside the nursery. These policies help us to ensure that the childcare services provided by the nursery for your child are first class. Being a member of the nursery is an enjoyable and beneficial experience for each child and his or her parents.

Meal times

We aim to provide healthy and nutritious meals for the children, which are freshly prepared daily by our cook. We use fresh ingredients and, where possible, use foods that do not contain additives or preservatives. Meal times are a good opportunity to focus on social development and we concentrate on good manners and appropriate behaviour.
